SNAP – Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests

Indeed, SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) has given a voice to those who have been so grievously harmed by clergy. We must continue to demand justice and compassion for victims of clergy abuse. Ideally, the Catholic Church and SNAP would be working together to rid the Church of its "filth" (as Pope Benedict has called child abuse). However, SNAP's public presentations are terribly problematic. The group is mean-spirited, misleading, and dishonest. Many will be surprised to learn that some very harsh criticism of SNAP comes from clergy abuse victims.
