Monkey See, Monkey Do: Another State AG Releases an ‘Abuse Report,’ and the Media Is Hysterical – Again

Following the international frenzy three years ago surrounding the Pennsylvania grand jury report against the Catholic Church, attorneys general across the country looked on with envy at the glowing media attention that Attorney General Josh Shapiro garnered for himself. Outlets all around the globe showered the egomaniacal Pennsylvania AG with praise.

Three years later, we are now seeing the fruits of that envy. In Nebraska, AG Doug Peterson recently released his own sensational report about the Church, even though it appears he knew beforehand that such a report would never even yield a single criminal charge.

In other words, this was not a helpful report at all but just a piece of hyped-up campaign literature for another attention-starved state attorney general. Peterson knew that it would be red meat for a Church-loathing media eager to publish any hit piece on the Church, no matter how dated or misleading.

The liberal Editorial Board of the Washington Post did its duty with another tired editorial which actually conceded this time, "Yes, it's an old story." Well, at least they got that right. And taxpayer-funded NPR (National Public Radio), which has never missed an opportunity to attack the Church, aired a report that seemed to regret that dead accused priests cannot be exhumed and prosecuted.

The real story here – one that you will never see in the media – is that this report never should have been written in the first place. Nearly all abuse committed by priests occurred many decades ago. The Catholic Church abuse story is a history lesson, not a current crime drama, as the media wants you to believe.

I'm sure once again we'll have to listen to the semantics of what "credibly accused" means according to deceiving and manipulating catholic apologists.

Nov. 30, 2018 – Archbishop George Lucas stated, "We're deeply saddened so many innocent minors and young adults were harmed by the church's ministers. To victims and their families, I'm sorry for the pain, betrayal and suffering you have experienced in the church."

This sounds like the ABP knew that his ministers were much more than just accused or your definition of "credibly accused" and much closer to downright guilty in delivering such a statement. Maybe your church and ABP George Lucas can use one of those Jedi Mind Tricks to convince us that this was not what he was trying to say. I think you catholics have been trying to use these "Tricks" all along, but the public and the media is just plain fed up with hearing all the excuses.

Thankfully, The Almighty God will exhume their souls and prosecute them to the full extent of Hell, and exonerate myself from all the lies of your corrupt clergy and lay catholics.
