Time To Pay Up: Rolling Stone Writer Who Wrote Bogus Priest Abuse Story Now Slammed By Jury For Defamation In Bogus ‘Rape on Campus’ Tale at U-Va.

Sabrina Erdely

Finally busted for bogus journalism: Sabrina Erdely from Rolling Stone magazine

A jury has awarded $3 million to an administrator at the University of Virginia after Rolling Stone writer Sabrina Erdely defamed her in a bogus story Erdely wrote in 2014 about gang rape at a college fraternity.

However, as readers of this site already know, years before Erdely defamed the U-Va. administrator, she published a completely false and malicious article in 2011 about sex abuse in the Catholic Church in Philadelphia.

Shortly after its publication, Bill Donohue at the Catholic League published a lengthy blow-by-blow takedown of Erdely's hit piece.

In her 2011 article, Erdely relayed the bizarre claims of "Billy" – whom readers of this site know to be Florida resident Dan Gallagher – who claimed to have been raped, molested, and sodomized by some three different men – two priests and a Catholic school teacher, all of whom barely knew each other – years ago as an altar boy in Philly in the late 1990s.

Enter veteran journalist Ralph Cipriano at BigTrial.net. As we have repeatedly chronicled here at TheMediaReport.com, Cipriano has doggedly uncovered detailed information indicating that Gallagher's unbelievable claims were just that: unbelievable. The lives of these three innocent accused men were shattered by Erdely's reckless reporting. (For background on the Gallagher case, see this and this. Also, check out the latest from Cipriano.)

Now that a jury has affirmed that Erdely's tale of ceremonial gang rape at U-Va. was false, we hope that the mainstream media will finally take a similar close look at her preposterous 2011 story about abuse in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

We await.

And on the 23rd at 259PM – an hour later – JR apparently had been trawling the web and comes up with something nicely diverting: but whether Bishop Herr had a house is not the point at issue.

What is at issue is: a) was the gentleman an ancestor of JR and b) if so, have whatever genes that were passed on by that gentleman survived sufficiently intact for JR to participate-in (or at least bask in) that gentleman’s personal characteristics and gifts, whatever they may have been?

Wiki is no help in either question.

    • Jim Robertson says:

I could give you a sample of my genes by direct deposit, P. But knowing your "type" you'd swallow the sample.

  2. Publion says:

On the 22nd at 1055PM ‘Dan’ will try to pick up the ‘rabbit hole’ bit and toss it back at me.

But he does so merely by – had you been waitttingggg forrrr itttttt? – insisting that he does not qualify for star-billing in his own fractured fairy-tale but rather – if he does say so himself (or Himself) – he (or He) is really just somebody who doth “refuse to associate with liars, pedophiles, perverts, idolaters, and hypocrites”.

How nice. However, regular readers of this site will recall his numerous weaves, bobs, turns and twists as he has tried in comments to keep his own ‘story’ from revealing his essential infelicities. He – like JR – would rather that readers simply took his stuff the way his cartoon would have it: he is rather directly informed by God and can speak – prophesy, even – on the authority of God, or at least on the authority of those ‘Dan’-approving deities resident in his bathroom mirror, who have provided him with a special fax machine to receive those Memos from the Beyond.

By no means, however, is he (or He) to be considered a “false prophet”. He is the real thing, we may be assured, and the mirror and the fax machine prove it.

And who could be so ignorant or evil as not to see the pristine truth of all that? He cawn’t think why.

    • Dan says:

Still mocking God and the Holy Spirit and will probably, as usual, insist that you're mocking me and not God. You are quite the hypocrite liar and will convince your brainwashed sheep of all the imaginary issues that others have. Open your eyes and see all your own issues. Hypocrite Mocking Liar. Yeah! That's capitalized. May be the perfect title for your lying arse!

  3. Publion says:

On the 23rd at 116AM ‘Dan’ will share something that he has ‘noticed’: my “sly usage” in deploying the phrase “various Reformers quickly descended”.

The “general scrum into which various Reformers quickly descended” is an established historical fact, as any review of the Reformation’s history demonstrates. And that resulted from the fact that once Luther had asserted his own authority to set up his own version of Christianity and the Church, then others similarly inclined saw no reason why they didn’t also have the authority to do the same.

Thus, of course, the phenomenon of ‘Dan’ himself (or Himself) is a rather direct descendant of that core dynamic.

Once the Conductor (the Church) was gotten rid of, then who was to say that the Composer’s (God’s) entire piece wasn’t designed primarily for the piccolos, or the drums, or the tuba, or what have you?

    • Jim Robertson says:

My ancestor never founded a church.  the only one of the Fathers of the Reformation to not do so.

Your God lets his composition go to pot because the church couldn't hog or sell it's conduction? What a wimpy God you've got. I mean really. He so enamored of free will and mankind, poor soul, that this little free will lie stops his composition from being played correctly and He lets it slide? Does He suffer over our sin? Does He? He's a fuckin' masochist. Tell him to rent a pair and get what he want's. Make what he wants happen. He's God isn't He? What a big idiot He is. Such a victim! such a martyr! He's the Alpha and the Omega and he suffers? God needs a shrink.

    • Dan says:

You're claiming I represent a "rather direct descendant of that core dynamic?" I suggest you might want to sharpen your own research skills into the "history of the Reformation" and Martin Luther, to find that like your dumb cult, he believed in referring to mary as "Queen of Heaven" and praying to her and saying the Hail Mary. Now I understand you to be at times pretty stupid, but does that poor comparison sound like what I represent. I believe that most of the Reformation was more concerned with trying to change a corrupt catholic cult, than truly following Biblical truth. Instead of succeeding in changing them, they adopted some of their pagan, idol-worshipping stupidities, simular to how your cult adopted the pagan traditions of cultures they took control of and brainwashed. My suggestion to you is you may want to think before you compare or criticize others. Not much hope of seeing you change, Hypocrite.  servant

    • Dan says:

I know you're probably pretty impressed with your metaphor of "Conductor (the Church)", but a better and more accurate one would be your church as dictator, pushing others around and brainwashing the simple minded, harassing and slandering anyone who comes against your false teachings. Perfect description of wolves in sheeps clothing. And quite possibly the "Awful Horror standing in the most holy place" Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:15

"Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming to be God." 2Th 2:3-4   What better church of lawlessness than one that teaches a false doctrine, praying to mary and dead saints, corrupting Bible truths and full of lies and liars. Add their hero Trump to the mix and you have a perfect combination of pompous, prideful, hypocritical idiots that claim to be Godly and peaceful, while promoting wars, guns, violence and hatred and yet acting like they're the peacemakers. "at the last TRUMP, for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised inciorruptible, and we shall be changed."  KJV 1 Cor 15:52  Just a coincidence or God's call to His chosen to be ready and on guard. Are you willing to take the chance that it's just a coincidence. True Christians, read the Word and be not deceived.   servant of the Almighty

    • Dan says:

Don't forget to point out my typo of incorruptible, Mr. Know It All.

  4. Publion says:

Continuing with my comment on ‘Dan’s of the 23rd at 116AM:

But ‘Dan’ slyly doesn’t actually pick up on the seriously inconvenient actual history of the Reformation impulse. Instead, he tries for a play on words: do I think that the Church is “ascending” (contrary to the Protestant descent into a general scrum … get it?) … ?

And this – neatly – gives him a platform for his usual riffs.

And – had you been waitttingggg forrrr itttttt? – he lards on some Biblical pericopes, the relevance of which to the matters at hand any reader is welcome to try and suss out.

All of which merely serves as a platform for his then slyly manipulative (and presumed rather than demonstrated) ‘conclusion’ that I or Catholics or the Church should “quit spreading your lies” and so on and so forth.

Because – had you been waittttingggg forrrr itttttt? –“God is watching you”. Thus and yet again, a threat to substitute for any rational demonstration of the credibility of his material. (The pericopes – I note – are valid enough in how they are quoted; it’s what ‘Dan’ tries to make them do that is the problem.)

‘Dan’ – doncha see? – knows what “God” thinks, as is evidenced by the bathroom mirror and that fax machine. And the fact that he can quote Scripture, although a number of entities – and one famously in particular – can do that too.

  5. Jim Robertson says:

Waitttttinnnngg forrrrrrr Ppppppp tooooo noooottt beeeeee sooooooo BORINGGGGGGGGG!

  6. Jim Robertson says:

Tell me you didn't vote for Trump, P. You had to have.

  7. Publion says:

On the 24th at 1116AM JR riffs on about Satan, in response to whatever comment seem to have attracted his attention. The only interesting bit is that he seems now to have confused God and Satan.

But that provides a platform for his preferred Wig of Pronouncement to the effect that it is all “utter gibberish!”.  Which is itself a nicely descriptive bit that – as so often with this type – he should have delivered to his bathroom mirror in the way-way-back.

And we then see how his mind works, as he now lumps everyone who doesn’t buy his stuff together as “the Christian Right”. His is a mentation that likes to lump all its targets together under whatever classification might make his cartoon seem to have some relevance and authority.

And readers may consider as they may whether JR is a reliable guide to the assorted and differing elements in the Church or in Christianity generally.

  8. Publion says:

Continuing with my comment on JR’s of the 14th at 1116AM:

He then deploys another of his two-fer manipulations: he tosses in a bit about relatives who fought in WW2, seeking a) to borrow some status from persons for whose stories we must rely upon JR’s own credibility while b) tossing in the cartoonish innuendo that those who don’t buy his stuff are “fascists” (this – as I have noted before – from someone who seeks to bully and cry-bully anyone who doesn’t buy his stuff into ‘butting out’ and ‘shutting up’).

And that riff continues down the garden-path as JR – as always – tries to connect religion and fascism, in order to have all his bugbears wrapped up in a neat cartoon wrapper.

And we also note that if you don’t buy his stuff about gay “fun” then you “hate Gay people”. And so on.

And he tries to bring it all home – just like ‘Dan’ – with … a threat.  How charmingly – and revealingly – fascist.

    • Dan says:

This is a response to not just this comment but all your "shtick" in general. No one more dangerous than one with a perceived worldly intellegence and knowledge, who thinks he can throw up any "plop", and as long as he can make it stick, then that must be true. I have used Biblical quotes to warn you of the wicked path you choose to pursue, but you think you can falsely accuse me of threats, while attempting to demean my character with all your constant lies and slander. No, there is no need to point out those individually, for all your material is rampant with false garbage and misrepresentation of fact. This statement and quote fits you perfectly, although I would prefer to substitute, in regards to you, [those who think they are wise].

"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart."

Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.  1 Cor 1:19 -21

So Publyin', keep reading all your books and playing on the internet, and gaining all your so-called knowledge, while mocking God and His written word, but know this for sure, you're traveling a direct path to Hell and don't even realize it. Best to you on your journey. Not a threat, but stern warning.   servant of God

P.S. Difference between you and Jim. Jim is a sinner. You're a lyin' hypocrite, and God and His chosen tend not to care for your kind.

  9. Publion says:

On the 24th at 403PM JR will open with epithet – against God, which includes some sort of effort to recoup his Groundhog Day bit, tying in the Resurrection and Phil … readers so inclined may try to suss out the meaning as they may.

He then continues with a passel of epithets against me, while simultaneously sneaking in the self-serving bit about being “traumatized by an act” (not a two-week long series of acts this time, but just the singular “act”). These are the moves that – in the heyday of the Stampede – could garner one a hefty bit of swag.

  10. Publion says:

Continuing with my comment on JR’s of the 24th at 403PM:

As for JR’s having “nothing to be sad about”:

First, it really hasn’t been established that whatever he claims “traumatized” him actually took place (nor do his assorted efforts at trying to expand the story help its credibility or probability).

Second, I thus don’t “empathize” because I haven’t even seen the probability that something worthy of empathy has taken place. JR’s move here is a classic sly and manipulative Victimist and Stampede switcheroo: you make a (dubious) claim, people question it, and you quickly claim that they don’t ‘empathize’ with you (and that such doubters lack Christian charity and so on and so forth). Thus he opens a path to don the Wig of Victimization since he not ‘believed’ and is not being showered with “kindness”, acceptance, and so on. Instead he just gets “mud” slung at him (because if you treat his story like he tries to treat the Bible then you are slinging “mud” at him … doncha see?).

Third, we are dealing with much much more than ‘being’ “sad” here; his sly effort to sidestep and minimize his issues pales in comparison to the vivid demonstrations  of far far more troublesome issues that he consistently and vividly displays. I’ll say a bit more about this as we continue down this revealing crop of comments of his from the 24th.

  11. Publion says:

Continuing with my comment on JR’s of the 24th at 403PM:

Thus too, then, the switcheroo slyly seeks to shift the burden of responsibility: if a questioner doubts the story, then the questioner doth “deny” the story; rather than the more rational and logical process: the questioner questions and the storyteller answers the questions sufficiently to establish credibility and/or probability.

And then he riffs on, trying to evade all that and instead shift focus by dragging ‘religion’ and in and so on and so forth and nothing new there.

In the process he tosses in his usual old bit about there being “no proof” for religion (scream caps omitted), although if one points out that there is not only no proof but no probability or credibility for his own story/claim/allegation then … that’s not nice or Christian. Yah.

Readers may judge as they will whether JR doth “tell the truth”and is deeply involved in a process of “just clarifying” things.

  12. Publion says:

On then to JR’s of the 24th at 413PM:

More epithet. If you get the idea that JR’s stuff here seems to queasily evoke material issuing from the clinical wing of what used to be called Juvenile Hall, then I don’t think you’d be far off the mark.

God’s plan was that Adam and Eve (and all humanity) would use their freedom to enjoy their existence as being made in the image of God / but Adam and Eve used their freedom to choose otherwise / their desires ‘came from’ their capabilities / and instead of conforming their desires to the plan of God they set up shop for themselves.

Evil – defined as choosing one’s own desires over God’s plan – had to exist because otherwise there could be no freedom. Apparently JR the Anti-Totalitarian doesn’t realize that if one has no choices (which thus requires responsible choosing), then one has no freedom.

  13. Publion says:

Continuing with my comment on  JR’s of the 24th at 413PM:

And as I said, the Genesis story indicates that evil didn’t come into the world through the serpent; the serpent was merely a potential. Evil was actualized and came into the world through the choices of Adam and Eve. They could have just said No to the serpent’s proposal.

Thus, too, it is precisely wrong to characterize the drama as a “puppet show”; a puppet show – to repeat points I made previously – requires no possibility of choices, like the plastic figurines in a child’s model train layout or some such. Adam and Eve had a choice; they made it, and here we are.

Whether it is God or JR most characterizable as “Goofy” is for readers to judge as they may.

  14. Publion says:

On then to JR’s of the 24th at 420PM:

And here we again see another classic switcheroo: I had noted that since JR had brought up yet again matters of his ancestry and possible implications for his character, then the more clinically relevant (and significantly so) fact is that there was – as he once said – institutionalization for mental illness present in the history of a biological parent (his father, if I recall correctly). This is a significant clinical element.

JR quickly tries to don the Wig of Victimization, for himself, by claiming that I do “insult” his “dead” (an added rhetorical load) parents.  One recalls Elizabeth Warren, who when her claim was questioned (that her claim that she qualified as a Native American was that she was told so by her mother that she was part Native American), Warren quickly claimed that the questioner was insulting her mother. And left it at that. Sly.

  15. Publion says:

Continuing with my comment on JR’s of the 24th at 420PM:

Then – in marvelous ignorance of the dynamics of clinical projection – JR will again deliver a denouncement that he should long ago have delivered to his bathroom mirror: “Find an enemy and if there are no enemies make on up”.

I would say – again – that JR’s whole shtick has been to find some external enemies to somehow take the blame for whatever issues have resulted in the Juvenile Hall performance we have seen here from a man not far from 70 years of age.

  16. Dan says:

Jim, Are you trying to get God and all believers to hate you? If not, it seems you're making one valiant effort. Problem is, no matter what you say, it's impossible to make God or true believers really hate you. And I believe totally in what you went through as a child, and don't think anyone who hasn't experienced such a trauma at a young age, has any right to question the veracity or authenticity of your claim. We all know how some catholics feel it's their duty to destroy anyone who questions their false religion. True fakes and true catholic does not equate to being true to God or Jesus Christ, but damned anyone who stands up against them.

  17. Jim Robertson says:

I don't have to try and get your "God" to hate me. He according to you made me human . a hateful enough act.

Could I be any more hated here than i am by P?  (Watch him say now he doesn't hate me. He just has no reason to believe what I say. P uses the Four D's as a response to anyone here except his supporters. The 4 D's Are Dismiss, Deny, Deflect, and Detract)

Telling me God hates me or may hatem e is like telling me  Santa has deemed me naughty. Your imaginary friends not liking me is beyond reason.

I offer you empiricism and reason and you pat me on the head with your idiocy, called "God".

I question your false religion as well, Dan. (Is there any religion, any faith based on fact, anywhere?) You don't have a claim to sanity, here, any more that P does. You both talk about your "beliefs" as though they were fact. When fact isn't a part of either of your systems of faith.

    • Dan says:

Again Jim, I don't know where to start. Thanx again, comparing myself and my beliefs to publyin'. Much appreciated. Don't think your "empiricism and reason" shows any sign of knowledge from experience or reason at all. If it did then you would be able to look at the creation, the universe, precise location of planets and our sun, gravity, the complexity of the human body, not to mention animals, fish and birds, to realize there had to be some great power that brought this together. And I didn't even include things like water, trees, vegetables, fruits and how all these things work together to feed the creation. To think there is no God or Creator, would have to take someone very shallow, narrow minded and most definitely lacking reason. Oh! And it just crushes me that you question my religion, especially when I don't claim to have one. The reason for your disbelief and hatred of God, is because you refuse to follow any moral standard and equate belief in Him with the false religions of the world, including the one which harmed you. You don't care for the simple rules He puts on mankind, so you think it's more beneficial to believe He's nonexistent and therefore cannot and will not punish. I also think it's pretty ironic that you're troubled with a male God, and think there should be a Mrs., but don't think you should be with a Mrs. From listening to your comments, it sounds like you'd be better off with a male society with no women at all. How "patriarchal" is that and laughable. Even most species of animals, birds and fish aren't screwing their own gender. And we have the nerve to consider them 'just animals'. Food for thought that you might want to take a bite of. My beliefs are not like any religion and you should have figured that out by now. And I'm far from dumb or stupid enough to believe in something that does not exist. Good try anyway and I'm no fool.

    • Dan says:

Want to make sure you realize that I don't believe in pagan celabrations of Easter, All Hallow's eve or Christmas, let alone the lie called Santa Claus. Put the 'n' in Santa where they originally had it, and you'll see it spells Satan Claws, pulling people down with deception and lies. Sound like any cults you know. HINT- They also refer to him as St. Nicolas. Doesn't mean I won't get together with my pagan family or friends and throw down a few. They are still my family and friends, and some pretty good ones, too. Not Saints.

  18. Jim Robertson says:

"My existence as being made in the image of God" P?

Why would God need genitalia P? Let alone male genitalia?  Are women not made in God's image and likeness? Or is God a hermaphrodite?

Pope John Paul I the 30 day, poisoned, Pope made banner headlines by referring to God as God the Mother (That cost him and a Patriarch of Jerusalem (or Athens?) their lives. The Patriarch was accidentally poisoned and dropped dead while having tea or cocoa with JPI. He, evidently, got the wrong cup. JPI was poisoned the next week or so)

I wonder where JPI got the "God as Mother" theology? It cost him his life. Or it might  have been JPI threat to restructure the Vatican Bank that got him killed.

  19. Jim Robertson says:

But a gender defined "God" , as male, would only be "necessary" in a patriarchal society. Which is what the Israelites were. Imaginary deities can be so troublesome particularly when gender specific and without a Mrs. (Though archeologists have found a Mrs. Jaweh in diggings in Israel).

  20. Jim Robertson says:

So Dan you believe in a God and Jesus without religion? All your beliefs in them and what is "true" about them didn't drop into your brain from a cloud. Your beliefs came directly from the Reformation and previous to that to Catholicism. You don't believe in religion just "God" and the Bible?

Why do you think I don't like women? You don't sleep with men but do you want a world without them? You project your prejudices on to me so easily and like P you just make things up about me, about the universe, and about imaginary beings.

I ask questions that neither you nor P ever answer. Ever!

He attacks me personally, using his 4 D's and you. prosteytize your version of Thomas Aquinas'  false rationale for a god existing.

YOU HAVE NO PROOF. I would convert tomorrow if you had a single bit of proof for the existence of a God, any God. But no religion has any. You just have dead MEN's fantasies about what truth is.

And science has left you all in the dust ; because it's only based on proof.

Free will doesn't even exist. Our subconscious chooses long before our conscious mind makes a decision.

And this is for the P thing. I have written here many times about the time and length of my abuse. To pretend I haven't, simply, shows you to be a liar. You are the liar.

And if you honestly don't remember what I've said why would you be so sure I hadn't said it? You deny that you might seem truthful. It seems to me that making me out to be a liar is your only goal here. Even if you have to make things up to do it.

You self-proclaimed moral (LOL!) religious people just make things up. No truth. No proof. No God. Nothing. Your actions speak. You do not believe. You lie. You deny. That's the extent of your morality. Lying and denying. Phonies!

    • Dan says:

Hey Jim, I told you that you can't make a 'true Christian' hate you, but you sure have succeeded in becoming annoying, if that is your goal. Tell me since you know so much (wrong) about me, what exactly do I have to gain with speaking to you about Biblical truth. I have no church I can get you to join, haven't asked and don't need or want your money, or anyone elses. So what am I doing wasting my time or energy talking to you or p? All I get from either one of you is a bunch of nastiness, sarcasm against me and my beliefs, and now I'm 'predjudice' because I'm unwilling to tell you I'm fine with your gay lifestyle, that will in time destroy both body and soul. You think you atheists and the cowards that will not be honest with you or believe you, really care about you or your life? Oh yeah! It's politically correct to accept everyone for who they prefer sexually, but you're not willing to accept who I am or my beliefs, and say every dirty thing in regards to them. Ironic, predjudicial and hypocritical, all in one. Your nasty comments towards myself and my God do absolutely nothing to harm either of us. We've survived the blatant lies of the most hypocritical false cult to walk the earth. You think you can harm us more than the "Phonies" of their church has. Good luck with that. And I don't know what you're talking about when you say I don't answer your questions? Funny that you want me to prove scientifically that God exists, when you can't even prove to publyin' that you we're harmed. Ask you're great belief in science to prove your ridiculous questions, since you think science has all the answers to life. Now I'll answer your 4 questions at the top – 1) Yes 2) Yes 3) I have no clue. Ask your subconscious. 4) Sometimes I would like a world without men, especially evil and nasty ones. Maybe in Heaven. There you go. I answered your questions. Now please quit comparing me to publyin', Thomas Aquinas, their religion or beliefs. I learned more lies than anything truthful from them or the Reformation and I have no clue how you think you know my history or background. You are emphatically wrong about me, so please stop judging me or my beliefs. Much appreciated. Never studied or cared about the Reformation until now.

    • Dan says:

Also Jim, I've ended many a post asking that people read the Bible for themselves, and that's the answer to how I've learned, using my own brain and not forcefed, brainwashed or coerced. It was my choice and I know I've made the right one. And you and nobody else is going to tell me different, unless you can prove to me that you have a better loving, caring, dependable and more awesome one than the True One. You're so busy blaming all the bad things that happen in the world on Him, when truthfully man's greed and wickedness is to blame. So your simple conclusion is it's all God's fault for creating evil man. You talk about people blowing smoke, well I believe much of it is in your eyes, and you just refuse to see the forest for the trees. Your tripping over the very Rock that would help you solve the problems that your looking to man to solve. I think you're hoping that p will be your savior. Otherwise, I think you've been surely wasting your time trying to convince him to believe you. Why not try trusting in those who do believe you and quit making enemies of them and the things that are beyond your understanding. There's a beautiful passage that says, "Lean not on your own understanding." You're not bigger, tougher or smarter than God, and He will destroy your puny gay self, if that's what you prefer. I suggest you might think about checking your attitude and your filthy accusations towards Him at the door. He will someday prove to you that He exists. Believe me that He had to prove that to me. I hope He doesn't have to as drastically as He did for me. It was extremely painful and dark, but I'm thankful for the tough lesson I had to learn. And now you should know why I talk to others about how good He's been to me. Nothing to my gain, but surely will be to your loss. Your choice. Your lucky He's given you one.

    • Jim Robertson says:

Dan everything you claim to be a Biblical truth came out of the Reformation(. The Bible and truth in general, rarely go hand in hand) the fact that you even have a Bible to read is because of the Reformation and the science of the printing press.

And I don't need to prove anything to P about my abuse. I only need to tell the truth about it. No one can prove your "God" exists. no one has ever proved your or anyone else's "God's "existence. Don't you think that's just a bit strange if "He's" so important?

Dan you think Gay people are wrong? Leviticus also says don't eat shrimp. Do you eat shrimp,Dan?

I honestly don't believe that you, Dan are any more of a natural occurrence at this sight than P is. If I'm wrong I'll live with it. If I'm right no big whoops.

I just don't think either of you 2 use reason as your basis, ever. You use faith, a form of imagining, as your basis and then you reason from those imaginings as if they were fact.

And what this has to do with my abuse or your abuse or P's abuse of both of us, I don't know.

    • Dan says:

Jim, "science leaves us all in the dust." Is that the same dust you came from, and shall return? Explain to me how scientists surveyed, tallied 51% believed in God. Other surveys were kind of all over the place, some higher and others lower. But tell me since you think science knows everything, and you must think they're all a bunch of atheist, non-believers. Are these scientists just junk scientists and your atheist ones are the smart ones? Wonder how many atheist scientists grew up catholics or in other false religions, and like yourself were completely turned off to a Creator, seeing what they experienced from these cults. I could have become an atheist myself, because I surely didn't buy into their worship of many gods (popes and catholic ordained saints), nor so-called christian worship of their pastors and other elite. I'm not even interested in researching the other heathen religions of the world, with all their nonsense, idolatry, spinning wheels, obese buddhas or worship of God but without Christ. I know what I've found, or how God found me, and from my research know that I've found the truth, Spiritually, physically and mentally. No one can tell me different, so keep your "Phon[y]" accusations to yourself. I'm far from a phony and don't even own a cellphony. I think technology and the Internet has opened up a can of worms, where any imbicile can voice their opinion, hatred or lies without consequence, and I think that sucks. And I'll be waiting for the biggest imbicile to give his in-depth analysis of my opinion.

    • Dan says:

And also, if you want to keep pairing me with p, then I'll start treating you like p. If you're going to use big words like p, as in proselytize, you might want to learn how to spell it. I don't know why atheists and others think you can insult someone by saying you're proselytizing, when y'all try to push your ignorance on us, which is also proselytizing. Look it up.

    • Jim Robertson says:

Dan, could God manage to lose you again? You claim he found you.

I mean why are you here? P's paid to be here and so are you by sharing the Word? YAWN! I'm just here trying to get some truth out about SNAP. P's trying to create propaganda and you are trying to save imaginary souls from an imaginary hell created by an imaginary god. No more real than Thor or Zeus or Mickey Mouse.

And we manage to take up a lot of space here, 120 comments. It makes sense why P's here.

It makes sense why I'm here. It does not  make sense why you are here.

I'm retired. P's probably retired as well. Are you Dan? Or are you just workin' for the lordy.

  21. Publion says:

On then to JR’s of the 24th at 433PM:

Apparently just to keep himself in the thread, JR goes on about his “ancestor” (Zwingli, I imagine) never having “founded a church”. One could go round and round on the questions of a) whether Zwingli’s influence on the so-called Reformed version of Protestantism constitutes a founding role and b) whether he was the “only one of the Fathers of the Reformation” (is there a list?) not to have done so.

Much more interesting to present matters here is the manner of his death: having achieved some form of leadership of the canton of Zurich, he then organized an alliance of Protestant cantons, and then he fomented a food-blockade of the still-Catholic Swiss cantons. That blockade resulted in the Catholic cantons attacking Zurich and Zwingli was killed in the ensuing battle.

What his ultimate plans or hopes might have been as to ‘founding a church’ thus remain a matter of speculation.

    • Jim Robertson says:

Yes,you moron, there's a list. The 3 founders of the Reformation were Luther, Calvin, and Zwingli. Any Catholic school child should know that.

  22. Publion says:

Continuing with my comment on JR’s of the 24th at 433PM:

His opening question in the second paragraph seems apropos of nothing, especially the bit about “conduction”.

But JR certainly isn’t impressed with “free will” – which is doubly curious: i) he relies on it – willy or nilly – to carry on whatever sexual activities he does and ii) he styles himself as anti-fascist and so on. Go figure.

He also indicates – even if it is cloaked in an almost witless (and tiresome) adolescent insouciance – that he has no concept of the profound ultimacy of the ultimate drama and agon of human existence in the Genesis vision: human responsibility for its choices is utterly vital to the conduct of individual human lives and to the harmony of all creation.

The ‘long and winding road’ back to such harmony – or to the establishment of some even larger or deeper harmony – is the driving force behind Christianity in all its variants as well as behind and foundationally beneath all the religions of the Book.

As for God needing a “shrink” … once again, a pronunciamento better delivered to his bathroom mirror.

  23. Publion says:

‘Dan’ demonstrates (the 27th at 456PM) an abiding – but self-serving with a curious consistency – capacity to misread: I had said (the 24th at 2PM) that ‘Dan’ was a direct descendant of the core dynamic of the Reformation by which one person (Luther) arrogated to himself the authority to make substantive changes to Christian/Catholic belief and praxis, thus opening up the stage for anyone else who also felt they wanted to give it a shot.

But ‘Dan’ misreads that “core dynamic” – yet neatly so, since it gives him a chance to merely spew his usual stuff:  he huffs that Luther didn’t really address – as ‘Dan’ doth address – the role of Mary. And that then opens the way for the now-familiar ‘Dan-verse riff on Mary’s role and so on.

My point was about the core Reformation dynamic of opening the stage for just about anyone who wants to claim either institutional or mystical or personal authority to set up shop and ‘prophesy’ and denounce and so forth. As – to use a current example – the ‘Dan’-verse and all its pomps and all its works.

And in that regard, ‘Dan’ is so very much a direct descendant of that core Reformation dynamic.

Thus, his attempt to use his own misreading as evidence of his assertion that I can “be pretty stupid” … recoils with a charming accuracy.

    • Dan says:

Mr. "pretty stupid" says about 'Dan', "he huffs that Luther didn't really address – as 'Dan' doth address – the role of [m]ary." Right. He makes the terrible mistake to address her as "Queen of Heaven", mediatrix and says to pray the rosary. Add to that His false belief in her perpetual virginity, immaculate conception and I quote, "… she is full of grace, proclaimed to be entirely without sin…devoid of evil." All catholic lies. The Word says all have sinned. All have fallen short. Where does your dumb cult come up with all this ignorance. People read your Bible and refuse to let ignorance teach you. I have no adherence to the Reformation and have no desire to attempt to reform an apostate, false religion of hypocritical liar and lies. My hope is to get some catholics to wake up and get the Hell out before you go down with them. And I mean DOWN.   servant of the Almighty, could never be self-appointed

    • Dan says:

Sorry, I guess that was a freudian slip. I guess in thinking I was only writing to you, I missed the s on liars, of which your cult harbors many. Didn't proof read before I posted. Now give us a big detailed analysis of how that isn't a freudian slip, Mr. Know It All. LIYOM

  24. Publion says:

And on the 27th at 212PM ‘Dan’ will counsel and advise “Jim” and who would want to get in the middle of that little fest?

But for Stampede purposes there is the interesting bit to the effect that ‘Dan’ doth “believe totally in what [“Jim”] went through as a child” and further that ‘Dan’ doth not “think anyone who hasn’t experienced trauma at a young age has any right to question the veracity or authenticity of [“Jim’s”} claim”.

Thus the baloney in the Stampede sandwich.

In terms of a) whether such claimed events actually happened and in terms of whether b) such claimed events actually did or even could cause the damage that is claimed … on what basis can it be asserted that nobody has a right to raise such questions? And in light of what we have actually seen of the ‘explanations’ and ‘further clarifications’ in this particular case, who could possibly not ask further questions?

  25. Publion says:

Continuing with my comment on ‘Dan’s of the 27th at 212PM:

But, of course, ‘Dan’ is doing himself a favor here, since he is in the same type of show-biz as JR and needs to protect the brand: because ‘Dan’ too seeks to preclude questions as to the validity and credibility and probability of his oh-so-speshull direct line to God (or at least the divinities ‘Dan’ perceives to be resident in his bathroom mirror, whose existence is ‘proven’ by the assorted productions received via the Fax Machine From Beyond).

  26. Publion says:

The most recent crop affords readers an opportunity to observe the exchange between JR and ‘Dan’ – and readers may dip in as deeply as they might wish.

But there are a couple of noteworthy bits:

Notice how quickly and effortlessly both of these two peas in a pod move to the “hate” bit: if you don’t buy their stuff, if you raise questions about their stuff, then … suddenly it’s all about “hate”.

Is this an indication of some notable limitations in the range of information-processing capacities available to them?

Or is it perhaps a demonstration of the slyly manipulative Victimist Playbook: if you don’t buy my stuff right off the bat, I’m not going to risk analysis of my material so I’ll just toss some epithetical stuff at the you and see if I can’t change the subject a) from my questionable material to b) your hatefulness.

That’s how the Game is played and both of these two have clearly been playing it for a long time.

    • Dan says:

I haven't played it half as long as you two. LIYOM

    • Jim Robertson says:

      I'm selling you nothing.

You'd make Jesus an enemy  because you see enemies everywhere. You have to have bad guys so you can pretend you're the good guys.

That's the difference between the Left and Right.

The Right see Boogey men everywhere. they are lost without an enemy.

And the Left sees new friends around every corner. The possibility for hope. Kindness matters.

The Right want none of that. They divide that they may conquer the rest of us.

  27. Publion says:

On then specifically to JR’s of the 29th at 232PM:

Readers so inclined may try to suss out the meaning of the spew in the first paragraph.

Specifically a) that phrase “according to you”, which is a clear indication that JR is going to try to put words into my mouth convenient to his own purposes.

And b) the thought that God’s making a human is “a hateful enough act”. Apparently, providing humans with the freedom and the responsibility for choices-made is – to JR – “hateful”.  Yet, somehow, that does seem to fit in JR’s case: he doesn’t like responsibility and he will get back at anybody (God included) who tries to make him man up to it.

  28. Publion says:

Continuing with my comment on JR’s of the 29th at 232PM:

And then a riff – but of course – on JR’s being victimized (or re-victimized, or re-re-victimized) by his being “hated” here. By me – because, apparently, I don’t buy much of his stuff and I question it.

JR no like at all. But rather than take responsibility and ‘own’ his game here, he will seek to blame me: it is I who “hate” him, although – but of course – there exists no quotation of mine that ever used the word ‘hate’ in any of his forms to describe my attitude toward any commenter here. Meanwhile he and his pea-pod pal here are the only ones quick to pull the “hate” card and start waving it around.

And then further – in a nice demonstration of self-delusion – JR bleats that here he merely doth “offer empiricism and reason”. Readers may consult the record of JR’s submissions here and tote up instances of his material offering “empiricism and reason”.

    • Dan says:

Don't know about you, but I despise liars. p, is that the same as hate? I'll be waiting for your in-depth analysis. LIYOM - Wow I like that play on words. LIE-UM Publyin'

  29. Publion says:

Continuing with my comment on JR’s of the 29th at 232PM:

Nor have I ever proposed “God” as merely being in any way whatsoever a “pat on the head”. The process of conducting a human life is a most serious and consequence-laden project, with vital and ultimate stakes; there is nothing trivial about it at all.

And is it also not clear that somehow I have suddenly gone from ‘hating’ to ‘patting on the head’ … ?

And once again: if you have been given no reason to believe JR’s stuff (for which JR will blame not himself and his material but rather me for not buying the stuff) then he could not “be any more hated than” he is by me. He’s the victim here, doncha see?

As to JR’s concluding riff about who has any “claim to sanity” … once again JR plays with an epithet far more dangerous in its recoil than in its projectile. Nor even now does he seem to have realized it.

  30. Publion says:

And on the 29th at 1046AM JR will share more of his “empiricism and reason” and theological chops:

Here – and who at this point can be surprised? – JR once again assumes his familiar stance of adolescent literalism and myah-myahs about whether God has genitalia (and, by extension, gender).

In the Catholic vision, God – as spirit – has no gender. But it’s very difficult for humans even to think in genderless terms.

JR’s cartoon here tries to resolve that problem to his own convenience by simply claiming – as do some entrenched strains of feminist assertion – that God is often thought of as male simply to serve the (had you been waitttingggg forrrr ittttttt?) patriarchal oppressive system and so on and so forth.

Would conceiving of God as a female rather than a male do much to resolve the core problem here? A gendered imagination is a gendered imagination, after all. And is it in any way rational to blithely presume that a matriarchal conception would ‘oppress’ any less than a patriarchal conception?

  31. Publion says:

Continuing with my comment on JR’s of the 29th at 1046AM:

But – since JR is only a plop-tosser and not really much given to thinking – he quickly moves off the whole subject and digs up some old 3x5s on the death of Pope John Paul I.

That pontiff was “poisoned”, we are informed. But only after JP1 had referred – not inappropriately, from a pastoral point of view – to “God the Mother”. And only after a Patriarch with whom the Pontiff was supposed to have taken tea the week before his own death, died (the cups accidentally got switched, and the Patriarch received the fatal cup and died quickly thereafter).

There have been conspiracy theories, having to do with the Vatican Bank or JP1 restoring the Tridentine Mass or the machinations of the USSR or even the Illuminati. Readers may review the topic briefly on Wiki (“Pope John Paul 1 conspiracy theories”).

And this ‘feminist’ theory of the pontiff’s death joins that collection.

Many theories, but little evidence; often they claim revelations from persons who themselves provided only post-facto verbal comments and nothing more.

And this bit from JR joins his blithe presumptions and brassy assertions stemming from this or that dubious published claim, such as his bits about the Vatican and Hitler and medieval Catholic ‘gay marriages’.

    • Dan says:

Wow, If you didn't inform us of all your brilliance and where to look it up on the Internet, I mean geez, we would all be lost. You're so brilliant and yet not smart enough to know that you should not mock God. Like I told Jim, "You're not bigger, tougher or smarter than God." You will most definitely reap what you sow. That's not a threat, but definitely a promise. LIYOM

    • Jim Robertson says:

"Not bigger or tougher or smarter than God". Why don't you shut up? I'm tired of hearing what you think or wish to be true. Threatening me with your imaginary fire-breathing sky friend is pathetic. Really sad. How does Bugs Bunny feel about me and other atheists or don't you have a magical sky phone to Warner Bros??  How wonderful it is that you know what your god's going to do to me and other atheists? And your proof is a book? It's like talking to a damaged 4 year old. Do you realize on any level that you have zero proof for anything you say your God wants? Are you a paid translator for the lord? Oh! Of course you are, silly me, your reward is in heaven. LMFAO!

  32. Publion says:

On then to ‘Dan’s of the 29th at 519PM:

Once again, a queasily juvenile bit of word-play: this time, on ‘Santa’ and ‘Satan’. To some minds, word-play is supposed to substitute for serious analysis.

And it then moves even deeper into the swamp with the bit on ‘Claus’ and ‘Claws’.

    • Dan says:

Also, by the way, just because the hierarchy was too dumb to even spell Satan's Claws correctly, quoting you, "Not my problem." Maybe you should waste your time trying to teach your dumbass leaders how to spell. LIYOM

  33. Dan says:

When are 'you' going to display some serious analysis, offspring of St. Nicolas. Now you can brag to Jim about your great grandfather 37 times removed. That's no juvenile "word-play", but you're to ignorant to understand how God makes your silly, stupid, imaginary, obese saints really backfire in your face. Your church is the one who came up with this idol-worshipping, holiday of ignorance. publyin', play stupid, it looks good on you. Here's another word-play for you – Some worship the Almighty God, others the almighty dollar. Some listen to the prophets of God, others only want to make a profit off of Him. Clue to it's meaning – Both pertain to your wicked, greedy, lying cult, of which you should be proud to be a card carrying member, Hypocrite. LEGEND IN YOUR OWN MIND. You think your so wise.

Hey Jim. Google pope santa claus and see what images pop up. Doesn't pope rats look stunning in scarlet red. Just like the whore who sits on the beast, perfectly describing their false cult. Again Jim and others. Read Rev chapter 17 verse 1-9 and come back to me Jim, and tell me there is not a God who knows everything, especially the false religions of this world. If you don't understand His word-play and parables, then you would have to be blind.

P.S. publyin' – you talk about juvenile – what about your "Cartoon Time" and all your other poor, childish analogies that you think are so clever. LIYOM     God appointed servant

  34. Jim Robertson says:

You want to deny that the Patriarch choked to death in JPi's presence?  Oh! Dr. PanGloss you are such a tool.

  35. Jim Robertson says:

Dear fellow Catholics the only God that's genderless in Catholicism is the Holy Ghost.

Tell me Catholics when did God the Father and Jesus stop being represented as male? And what about mankind being "Created in His image and likeness"? "His"  not Her image and likeness. Dan's not the only player of word games. P you shuffle your deity's gender like a pea in the shell game. Is HE or isn't a HE a HE when HE'S always been portrayed as such. In legend and in song.

  36. Jim Robertson says:

P, Could you possibly show me where the term "God the Mother" has been used by any other Pontiff? I doubt if Pope Joan ever said such a thing and she was a lady Pope.

  37. Publion says:

Well what a crop we have here.

Readers may consider as they may the various exchanges between ‘Dan’ and JR. Those bits pretty much speak for themselves, revealing nothing more than the usual whackeries from their respective authors that we have been seeing for quite some time.

I’ll only make some responses to comments that can reasonably be connected to my material and qualify as being more than mere one-liner attempts at ‘come-back’.

  38. Publion says:

On the 29th at 730AM ‘Dan’ will try to evade the problem of his rather pronounced ignorance of religious history and thought by declaiming that there is “no one more dangerous than one with a perceived worldly intelligence and knowledge”.

Thus – doncha see? – it’s not really about what one might know about worldly stuff at all; instead, it’s only and totally about getting the Memos from that Fax Machine From the Beyond … which item is in ‘Dan’s sole possession, by amazing coincidence, and nobody else has one. (He also has the only Secret Magic Decoder Ring too.)

‘Dan’ – to repeat yet again – has “used Biblical quotes” merely to try to cloak his own whackeries and assertions. The quotations are mostly accurate; the attempts to shoehorn them into the general ‘Dan’-verse cartoon system are something else altogether.

Nor is it the Biblical quotations that are mock-able. It’s ‘Dan’s stuff – which is precisely why ‘Dan’ hit upon the scam of trying to fuse together the Biblical quotations and his own whackeries.

Thus – one might put it – ‘Dan’s primary project is to pass off his version of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party as The Last Supper.

  39. Publion says:

On the 30th at 937PM ‘Dan’ now riffs on a fresh bit of whackness: I am the “offspring of St. Nicolas”. And puts another nail into himself by then quickly asserting that “that’s no juvenile word-play”. It isn’t?

On he goes again, this time about saints.

And then hammers a few more nails into himself by accusing me of being “a legend in your own mind” (scream-caps omitted).

I make no claims for myself. I put up my material and readers may consider it as they will.

Meanwhile, as another instance of ‘Dan’s claims about himself (or Himself) he styles himself (or Himself) as “God appointed servant” (who is also sole custodian of the Fax Machine From the Beyond and the Secret Decoder Ring and so on and so forth).

  40. Publion says:

Continuing with my comment on ‘Dan’s of the 30th at 937PM:

And then ‘Dan’ exhorts JR to “google pope santa claus” – and you can see just what we’re dealing with here.

Apparently – and ‘Dan’ presumes this to be a demonstration of his serious theological and conceptual chops – there is a photo of Benedict XVI in some outside venue wearing a medieval-style cold-weather red cap – a camauro – while also wearing a red cloak.

This has been photo-shopped into that Pontiff wearing a more obvious Santa cap, with the tapering end and the pom-pom.

‘Dan’ apparently sees great significance in this bit, and given the cartoonish nature of his stuff, that cannot be surprising.

But he cawn’t think why anyone might rationally consider his shtick to be “cartoonish”.

  41. Publion says:

On the 30th at 957PM ‘Dan’ will evade the content and simply toss up some epitheticals, this time to the effect that he doth “despise liars” (clearly he doesn’t pay enough attention during those séances in his bathroom mirror) and then wonders “is that the same as hate?”.

‘Dan’ as (for whatever variety of reasons) self-hating and constantly seeking to project that hate outwards onto whatever targets catch his various phantasms. I think he’s on to something here. That’s not so far-fetched at all. He should give it more thought.

  42. Publion says:

As to ‘Dan’s of the 20th at 1009PM:

I make no claims to “brilliance” but I am confident in my ability to realize a wingnut when I encounter one. I don’t mock Scripture; ‘Dan’s attempts at manipulating Scripture for his own whackulent purposes (see my immediately preceding comment) is something else altogether.

  43. Publion says:

On the 30th at 1052PM ‘Dan’ simply takes the opportunity to add more logs to the fire in regard to his dismissal of Luther (who apparently had neither the Fax Machine From The Beyond nor the Secret Decoder Ring).

  44. Publion says:

Although hardly a relief from the tedious and queasy task of dealing with ‘Dan’s stuff, readers may then turn to JR’s stuff.

On the 30th at 1046PM JR once again demonstrates the validity of clinical projection: it is not he but I who doth “see enemies everywhere”. And – go figure – I apparently “make Jesus an enemy” too (let me hazard a guess: because I am not Christian when I question oh-so truthy victims like JR).

But – with his usual slyness – JR then quickly changes the subject to politics and riffs on the Right and the Left. Readers may consider it all as they will.

  45. Publion says:

And on the 30th at 1049PM JR slyly tries to make some more hay on his claim about the Patriarch who died drinking poisoned tea with John Paul 1 … and yet he has never offered the name of this deceased Patriarch nor any evidence or even link to some credible source. Who was this gentleman? JR doesn’t say. No surprises there.

  46. Publion says:

On the 30th at 1057PM JR then trots out his Wig of Catholicism, addressing “Dear fellow Catholics” in order to declaim and pronounce that “the only God that’s genderless in Catholicism is the Holy Ghost”.

Readers may consider that howler as they may. Jesus as He became human took the male sex/gender. God is only figuratively styled as ‘Father’ but remains – as pure spirit –formally genderless and ditto the Holy Spirit.

And, as I said, given the human inability to easily conceive  or imagine genderless being, then God is popularly (in the formal sense of that term) referred-to as male, perhaps since Jesus proposed conceiving of God as a Father (i.e. a parent) which would have been quite a leap from usual pagan praxis.

God is beyond sex/gender. That’s not word-games. It’s merely a reflection of the essential reality that God is beyond sex/gender and yet humans are very limited in their capacity to conceive of that. Nor does language help since human language is itself greatly sex/gender oriented.

What options are there? Masculine, feminine, or neuter … and referring to God as “it” or “It” raises numerous problems of its own.

    • Dan says:

You are one hilarious joke, p. You give an in-depth analysis and assessment of God's gender, to an atheist who could care less and curses both God and the Bible. You even quote him irrelevent verses that prove nothing in regards to God's gender or motherhood. In Isaiah 66:13, the Lord is comparing the comfort he will give to His children, as one is comforted by his mother. And while you're there, check out 66:14 - " Then you will see this, and your heart will be glad, And your bones will flourish like the new grass; And the hand of the Lord will be made known to His SERVANTS, But He will be INDIGNANT toward His ENEMIES. Why is it that you're a coward most of the time to discuss Scripture with me, and instead sarcastically mock God and His Word, claiming there 'Dan' goes with the 'whackery' of his 'pericopes', but bring my attention to a verse that's followed by a verse that backfires on your mocking arse and you come up with egg on your face. My prayer is that they "neuter" you. Heaven help us if there ever is born another mockin', lyin', hypocrite, peewee jr.   servant of God the "Father" Almighty

  47. Publion says:

On then to JR’s of the 30th at 1101PM:

As for “god the mother”, one could go back to Isaiah 66:13 and Psalm 131:2.

But in light of the many female-deities in ancient pagan religions, then referring to God as Female would have raised all sorts of serious problems and early Christianity avoided that.

The idea of God as Parent is the key here, not whether God has male or female sex/gender.

    • Dan says:

Furthermore, As one of the biggest pagan, idol-worshipping religions following Jesus's life, I'm surprised your catholic cult hasn't referred to God the Father more often as a female. Oh! Excuse me! They actually do, worshipping their false god, the ever-virgin mary, "Queen of Heaven" who reigns high above in their Mother Cult Church. Idolators and Lyin' Hypocrites.

  48. Publion says:

On then to JR’s of the 1st at 1002AM:

In a finely revelatory display, JR seeks to evade the problem with a) an epithet and then b) reference to a list that apparently only exists in JR’s mind or his 3×5 file.

Other founders of the Reformation … can we legitimately exclude Hus, Peter Waldo, Wycliffe, and even Henry VIII?

    • Dan says:

Wow! You really put on a brilliant display of all your ignorant knowledge of nothingness today. I am quite impressed, especially with all your accusations of my "whackery", when you're whacked enough to think you're getting away with mocking God and His Holy Spirit. You will reap what you sow, you catholic she-devil. I won't waste my time commenting on each individual, stupid post towards me.   servant

  49. Dan says:

Jim, I'm responding to 11/30 @ 10:46 and 12/1 @ 6:17 & 6:40pm. I just have no desire to respond to you two jerks and everything you have to say. I thought you gays, or what you consider yourself Left "sees new friends around every corner. The possibility for hope. Kindness matters." All I'm hearing from you is alot of anger and obnoxiousness. Is this your atheist side, or am I just getting to your conscience or subconscience. I feel you better fit the definition of a fag, than a gay, according to the urban dictionary; 1) An extremely annoying, inconsiderate person # douchebag. I retired at 52, to answer your question. I'm not paid by anyone, and question why I waste my valuable time on either of you. My hope is that someone else following this forum might learn something about the True God. Couldn't care less about what either you or Mr. peebody have to say in regards to criticising myself or my beliefs. As far as Bugs Bunny thinks about you? He thinks you've sat on one too many carrots. You can blame your life on what happened to you in the past, but there comes a time when you'll have to face consequences for your choices and act like a man. Proving to me there is no God, is no easier than my proving to you He does exist. I used to feel sorry for what happened to you, but through your own nasty mouth, can't say I do much anymore. You have in no way lately shown any sign of kindness or anything close to love, and like I said before, "You reap what you sow." And that shall be from God and others. If you think it's just your imagination, so be it. Keep it up and I may never go away. That's a promise. Have as much right to take on you two as anybody else on this forum, or do you think you own and run it. Maybe it's time you shut up.   servant of the Almighty, so get used to it

Wow a 52+ yr. old thinking like a 12 yr. old. I'm "more of a fag" than a gay. Breathtaking!

Read a fucking book not just the Bible. Try Albert Camus' The Stranger.

On the 2nd at 1225AM ‘Dan’ continues to ward off his problems here with his most recently-embraced mantra: knowledge isn’t all it’s cracked up to be at all, because it’s only the stuff you can get from The Fax Machine From The Beyond that’s reely reely reel.

Which is a fine display of ‘Dan’s abiding solution to his problems, because – doncha see? – ‘Dan’ is – by amazing coincidence – the planet’s Sole Authorized Custodian of the only working Fax Machine From The Beyond. As well as of the Secret Decoder Ring and the Bathroom Mirror From The Beyond.

Thus a garden-variety Mad Hatter doth transform himself (or Himself) into The Mouth of the Mind of God.

I would venture that few clinicians could deny that this coup of ‘Dan’s is even more brassy than that of those who don Napoleon hats and thus ensconce themselves – often irretrievably – in more mundanely imperial fantasies.
