Priceless: ‘Rally’ Against Buffalo’s Bishop Malone Draws Only 3 People, But TV Station Makes It the Lead Story

Buffalo Bishop Malone protest - Sun., Aug. 18, 2019

A reporter pushes his way into the throngs of protesters for an interview.

The recent breathless reporting at WKBW-TV in Buffalo about Bishop Richard Malone and his handling of accusations of abuse by priests from decades ago would have you believe that Catholics in Buffalo are so up in arms that they are ready to seize pitchforks and storm his residence to force his removal.

However, the meager gathering for an August 18, 2019, rally outside a Buffalo parish – apparently organized by loopy diocesan-employee-turned-"whistleblower" Siobhan O'Connor and a goofy ex-seminarian dean Stephen Parisi – suggests that anger against Bishop Malone has barely extended beyond the newsroom of WKBW and a smattering of dippy ex-employees.

A whopping three people – and that includes O'Connor and Parisi – showed up for the rally seeking the prelate's resignation.

WKBW rushes to the scene

Yet the paltry turnout did not halt WKBW from eagerly arriving on the spot to work the crowd of three and lend their tacit support to the cause.

And when it came time to trumpet the stories of the day on the evening news, WKBW made sure the historic gathering of the trio was the very lead item for all to see.

After interviewing this gentleman in his Sunday best, WKBW had actually managed to speak with 100% of the protesters. Quite a journalistic feat, we say.

I dont like Trump at all but he may be right. The media is all fake.

  2. peoples clown says:

Its just the Bolshevik media doing what it does, and does best : fake propaganda! Why they even bother going out on a story like this proves their anti catholicism. Notice and compare this to the "newsb blackout "when the Right To Life marches happen in january in D.C. , and locally as well .you have to go on EWTN to find out.

  3. Dan says:

Bishop Richard Malone is in deep for covering up for many child molesting priests and handing over an incomplete list that should include over one hundred more abusive priests in his diocese, but you think the story should be an attack on the "whistleblowers" and the media? Really? Man you catholics sure do amaze me and not in a good way! Why do all your bishops try to pull off the same bull crap? Hand over all the creeps of the Church and quit playing your little games of hide and seek. God is going to expose all you hypocrites in due time. You think you can hide from the Almighty?

    • peoples clown says:

Dan corner – I'm surprised you didn't show up at the "rally" and make 4 people!! And yes, God exposes all hypocrites in due time!!!!!

"You think you can hide from the Almighty?"= 100% agreement with you there ,Dan!!!

    • peoples clown says:

Dan – "Man you catholics sure do amaze me and not in a good way!"=

      - I'm glad we amaze you!

      - you have tunnel vision!

  4. peoples clown says:

I've heard of a church that had a rat sighting in the alley. Perhaps these "clowns", cronies, and commissars should have a protest on how they are mistreating the animal, by not allowing it to come inside to live!

  5. peoples clown says:

Dan – reviewing publions April 12, 2016 200 pm statement about wearing a Napolean hat, might be worth review here! You and JR did an exquisite  disagreement between you two. Pax be. Dan!

  6. peoples clown says:

Yes, this pathetic showing is a deflection on what could very well be one of the last of these. With new York passing the "child victims act" there is a year window to call out abuse anywhere. Public schools included. Yeshiva university already has one. So, Dan,Jim, maybe this society won't have the catholic church to kick around anymore. Go after real criminals instead!

  7. peoples clown says:

Dan – on January 22, 2016 at 11:41pm,you said :"Catholics beware, deceivers will use any tricks to twist the facts". How right you were,  Dan look at comrade Shapiro! Its almost sounds like you are one of "us"!!!!

    • Dan says:

Well, finally you admit that catholics are "deceivers" who "use any tricks to twist the facts". Well done, Clown!

  8. Jim Robertson says:

Poor Clown, The idea that the capitalist owned press is pro Communist is beyond laughable. The same press led by the NY Times that supported the Iraq invasion and slaughter of innocents (And every other imperialist massacre that the U.S. has perpetrated on the poor of this world.) are really Reds?

Have you checked under your bed for Commies? (or up your ass)?

Eveything you religionists believe in is based on fear. Fear of this person or that. Fear of this belief system or that.  Fear of devils and a Lord that is so much a God of Love that he gives babies cancer or who lets children be slaughtered by Christian made bombs.

Your "God" is a psychopath. Your fear rules you.

    • peoples clown says:

Jim – "fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."

Have a great day, brother Jim! PAX!

  9. Dan says:

Hey Jim, I don't have a clue what god you're referring to or the one you were "indoctrinated" by? It surely isn't the God I know. There was a time when I had a fear of my Creator based on the lifestyle I was living. After turning my back on my past, along with the help and salvation of my Savior, I no longer have fear of anything or anyone.

You claim, "Fear of devils and a Lord that is so much a God of Love that he gives babies cancer or who lets children be slaughtered by Christian made bombs. Your 'God' is a psychopath. Your fear rules you."

Man Jim, you're talking craziness or maybe the false god you were indoctrinated by in your catholic school. Man's greed or wickedness hasn't led us into chemically caused or bacterial diseases through poor handling or the pollution of our Creator's pure water and the foods He has provided for us? No true Christian, as a Christian, could ever be behind murdering or bombing humans, let alone children. The New Testament has absolutely no teaching promoting or condoning violence against anyone. In fact the opposite is true. Ever read the book, Jim?

Faith casts out fear. "But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment." I fear nothing and have no clue where your convoluted idea of God has come from. Not anything near the God I know!

Oh! I can hear the catholics already asking, "Where is my love? I'm dealing with a pagan idol-worshiping belief system and fighting against such is not something easily done with love. Overcoming the brainwashing of darkness and cult indoctrination of the devil is not something that can be taken lightly, as witnessed in this forum. The evilness and deception I'm fighting is not something that can be glossed over with "bless you brother" or "PAX, peace brother Dan".

  10. LLC says:

    Dan,

"The New Testament has absolutely no teaching promoting or condoning violence against anyone" = Ever read the Book, Dan? See Matthew 10:34-36, for example.

As for your hearing, I would've it checked. Clearly not working.

Have a blessed day, brother Dan.

    • Dan says:

Here we have atheist Jim, tearing into God and any true believers faith as he has plenty of times before, but you feel it necessary to attack me and the Lord's New Testament. And you catholics claim to be Christians? What really is your problem?

You wish to question my reading the book or understanding what it says, pointing out Matthew 10:34-36? "…I have not come to bring peace, but a sword….A man's enemies will be the members of his own household." Do you not yet know that the "sword" is "the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (Eph 6:17?

God is in no way "promoting or condoning violence against anyone"? You show absolute ignorance of God's Word. God through Jesus or the Apostles says folowers will be hated by everyone or you may be slandered, jailed, attacked or even killed, as I have witnessed from some of your evil Church leaders, cops and thugs. He never teaches his children to do the violence. "Ever read the book", LLC?

Please refrain from your hypocritical need to call me brother. You're no brother of mine.

    • LLC says:

      Dan,

the addressee of your comment doesn't matter. My beef with your argument is the "absolutely" part. In your post, you claim that the NT "absolutely" doesn't tech promoting nor condoning violence; Matthew clearly disagrees with you, and so does Luke in 22:36. Jesus Himself does not refrain from acting aggressively, when the circumstances required it; see John 2:13-16. Jesus never condemned those who exercised deadly forces, like soldiers (Luke 3:12-14); instead, he praises the Centurion for his faith (Matthew 8:5-13), but doesn't ask him to quit his job. Jesus' disciples had weapons with them. And so on and so forth.

Have a blessed day, Brother Dan.

    • peoples clown says:

Dan – your comment is a start. You need to eliminate the wrong parts though.

PAX, and have a blessed day, brother Dan!

    • Dan says:

      LLC,

In Luke 22:37, it explains that that was to fulfill Scripture. Didn't Christ heal the ear Peter smote? Lets not take things out of context.

"Do violence to no man …" Luke 3:14  KJV

Christ never condoned violence just as I had said. The "beef" I had with you is you felt it so necessary to attack me while having nothing to say to the one attacking God or Christians. Quite telling!

    • LLC says:

      Dan,

Luke 22:37 is a non sequitur in this discussion.  If anything, you can see in Luke 22:38 that the Disciples didn’t fully understand what he meant about division. What I am saying is that Jesus came to bring His peace, but He was not a pacifist. Please see C.S. Lewis' essay “Why I Am Not a Pacifist".

Luke 3:14 actually reads quite differently than "do violence to no man…"; in the original Greek, it says "do not extort", which was a big problem with any army at that time.

"Christ never condoned violence just as I had said" = simply because you say something, it doesn't mean that it's correct, nor that it is what Jesus meant. Regarding your beef with me, it is more important that I correct you than that we provide a fake unified front for JR.

    • Dan says:

      LLC,

"simply because you say something, it doesn't mean that it's correct…" Once again you ought to practice what you preach. Jesus poured out the money changers coins and overturned the tables. Show me where he was violent, hurt anyone, murdered or bombed someone. Try to follow the Scriptures rather than add your ignorance in order to prove your weak points.  servant of the truth

P.S. Be careful that you don't add to the words of the book, or you will receive the very curse that you think you can put on me. Rev. 22:18 and not Rev. 22:19 as you incorrectly quoted.

    • Dan says:

      LLC,

So instead you lyin' catholics have organized a "fake unified front" against the Christian believer. Well done. Now I got it! Bring it on, Accusers!

    • LLC says:

      Dan,

"Jesus poured out the money changers coins and overturned the tables" = and, in your opinion, this is not a violent act. Not a problem. Have it your way, brother Dan.

Regarding "murdered or bombed someone", in your original post you say, verbatim, "The New Testament has absolutely no teaching promoting or condoning violence against anyone". You do not specify what kind of violence, particularly murdering or bombing [sic… at the time of Jesus, Dan? really?].

You should instead say that Jesus is against “unjust” violence. This is a true statement, and in accord with His teachings and the testimony of Scriptures.

Have a blessed day, brother Dan.
